Wild about the Wensum with Pensthorpe.

We had a lovely assembly with Ed and Alison from Pensthorpe. The came in to talk about Water Voles and the River Wensum.

We learnt about their habitat and and how we can look after it by not dropping litter and being quiet along the river bank.

Pensthorpe are having a fabulous competition for the children connected with their Wild About the Wensum day in April 25th 2015. They need to draw, sketch, paint a water vole in its environment. Below is a link to their website page for more information about the day. Every child also gas a leaflet and competition sheet.

During the day we have been having photos with Walt the Water Vole! Here are year 6 and 1!

  1. Ed and I were very impressed with how involved the children were, it was a great privilege to be there sharing our passion for wetlands, our River Wensum and of course Walt the water vole! Thanks for having us!
