Year 6 News

Year 6 have settled in amazingly well, I am very impressed with their attitude to learning, how they apply themselves as well as lovely sense of humour (a requirement of Year 6!!)

We went swimming yesterday, their behaviour was impeccable, the listened and made good progress throughout the lesson.

Today we have already had a reading session followed by a quick write up in their Reading Journals where they have to recall spelling, punctuation and the correct use of grammar in their work.

Mrs Carver, Mrs Cooke and myself are very much looking forward to time with the children this year.

Thank you to all our parents who are showing an interest in what is coming home already, there is homework on Google classroom today, please encourage your child to accept the invite and begin their work!

The photograph shows a variety of reading material being read today.
