Year 4 were let loose in pairs and threes on a box containing crocodile clips, buzzers and motors, batteries, a switch and a couple of light bulbs. As true scientists, they had to predict what would happen as they created different circuits. They were asked to observe very closely what they made and try to explain their results. Cooperation was high and the scientific talk was good as children explained breaks in circuits, lights shining more dimly and vibrations making the buzzer move. An added bonus was the fact that they had lots of fun too.
