On Friday afternoon we were fortunate enough to have the composer William Carslake and the violinist Helen Kruger from The Little Baroque Company orchestra come to work with us. The theme was Glaciers, as William had been part of an expedition to Greenland. From his experience a film has been made which the children watched. They then thought of thought provoking words associated with Glaciers and started to think of Similies to then compose a verse and chorus. This was all achieved in an hour and followed by a performance to the whole school during our afternoon assembly. It was a great afternoon with everyone taking part enthusiastically.
