Unfortunately we are finding that a lot of children seem to be suffering with headlice at the moment. It is occurring in every class, in both boys and girls hair. Please can you spend some time checking hair this weekend and treat appropriately? We are sure you understand the importance of doing this and then rechecking each week, just in case any missed eggs have hatched.
Headlice aren’t picky. They will make themselves at home in anyone’s hair, therefore it is necessary that everyone in your house is checked and then treated.
If your child has long hair it is important that all their hair is tied back every day for school.
Thank you for your co-operation with this, we know we can never be completely rid of headlice in school, but if everyone checks, rechecks and rechecks again we can start to reduce the number of cases.
