Birch class very much enjoyed their trip to the Castle today to experience an ancient Egyptian day! Children learnt all about mummification, Egyptian jewellery, and even made their own neck cuffs. We then had the opportunity to handle some Egyptian artefacts, which were over 4000 years old. We’re pleased to say that nothing got broken, as children handled the objects with lots of care!! Finally, children learnt about daily life as an ancient Egyptian, and dressed in linen tunics for a musical parade. What a fun day, and the class’ behaviour was a credit to the school.
