On Monday we travelled back to the time of the dinosaurs 250 million years ago! I asked the children how we know dinosaurs existed as there were no humans alive then? They weren’t sure about this, so we’ve been learning about fossils this week. After reading ‘Stone Girl, Bone Girl’ we discussed the importance of fossils, what they tell us and how they are formed. We then went on to make our own dinosaurs fossils using salt dough and the children decided it would be nice to paint them too…. Why not!
