Phonics – Challenge 1:

Exploring adjacent consonant and long vowel sounds!
Today you’re going to be focusing on consonants and vowel sounds.

Write three words from the video.
Come up with a sentence that includes one of those words.

Handwriting challenge: Complete a line of the letter ‘s,S’ both lowercase and Capital. Then think of two words with this letter at the start

English – Challenge 2:

Poetry and Dear Diary challenges

So far this week you have explored matched rhyming words, created your own words that rhyme and filled in a missing rhyming word. To finish off our mini poetry topic I would like you to complete your own home rhyming challenge.
Challenge 1: Go to a room in your house – choose three different items. Write the name of those items then underneath I would like you to write two words which rhyme with that item.

Challenge 2: To write a diary entry about your day. Please write your diary explaining a part of your day.
Your diary must include the date at the top and start with the phrase Dear Diary .

Maths – Challenge 3:

To solve problems using repeated patterns
Alongside today’s challenges could you try and recite the 2, 5 and 10 times table.
Follow the Oak Academy video.
