BELIEVE, ACHIEVE, BELONG

We’re an odd socks bunch!

Year 4 have looked great with their odd socks to support Anti-bullying week. Trying to get a fun photo was a little funny in itself! Great effort Year 4.

Don’t forget Children in Need day on Friday, bring a £1 donation to wear your own clothes and search out all that loose small change so we can try an attempt a money chain around the running track.

Remembrance Service 2019

The whole school attended church this morning and then walked onto the War Memorial to remember those who have died in war. Year 6 led the service with Mr Busby, Father Mike officiated. The children were amazing and made us feel very proud of them. They walked sensibly there and back as well as listening well in church and at the War memorial. Well done firstly to the whole school for great behaviour and a sense of understanding and then to Year 6 for your presentation and reading clearly in church and at the War Memorial. Thank you also to the all parents, friends and members of our community who were able to join us on this occasion.

KS2 Production

We have had a lovely afternoon presenting to everyone what we have been learning this last half term. Thank you to all the parents, family and friends who came, the hall was packed!

West Stow Anglo Saxon Village

We have had a lovely day at West Stow learning about The Anglo Saxons and furthering our knowledge of them. We looked at artefacts, the children explored houses and discovered that extended families all lived together. They were fascinated by the museum and loved trying on clothes from the era.

Well done Year 4, a great first visit out. I’m really pleased with you.

There are more photos which I’ll try and make a folder for. Please do not share these and post on social media.

Arrival time Year 4

We are travelling really well and should be back at 4.35pm. Please leave the lay-by clear on the left hand side. Thank you.

Year 4 West Stow

We’ve had a great day, the rain has held off and even the coats have stayed off!

We have just left and will update you later about our arrival time. As a guide it could be 4.45ish.

Year 4 West Stow

I hope you all have excited children ready for our trip out tomorrow. As we have had such a deluge of rain I think it would be wise if the children wear their trainers and then change into wellies once we are there! Please can the wellies be in a separate bag. Definitely waterproof coats tomorrow too please.

Many thanks

Mrs B.

Morning tea with Ms Jones

These lucky children were chosen by their class teachers to join Ms Jones for morning tea. The children have all impressed their teachers in the first week of term. We are all looking forward to deciding who will be next week. The children really enjoyed the experience and felt very special.

Year 4 Gardeners

We have had a lovely morning preparing our outside flower border. We looked at the bulbs and the description of each. We measured how deep they needed to be planted and then how high they could grow to.

Year 4 worked so well together, the staff were really pleased. Some children even gave up their dinner time to help finish off the planting. We are now going to wait patiently until the spring when we should have a beautiful border full of fantastic flowers.
