BELIEVE, ACHIEVE, BELONG

Woodland Adventures

We took the children to the woods to explore the winter environment.

They were very engaged with their learning:

Den building, team work and communication, problem solving, shadow play, measuring sticks, mark making, mud sliding, bird watching, learning to look after their environment and reflecting.

So much learning following the children’s interests.

Stickman Story Café 6/12/23

Another successful story cafe. Thank you to The Stone Lane Flower Company who worked with the children and parents to create some wonderful natural decorations.

It was great to see so many parents join in on the day.

Remembrance Service 2023

A few of the children and staff joined the school to represent the nursery at the Remembrance day service, which was held at All Saints Church Stibbard. After the service they laid a special cross on the memorial, they had made at the nursery.

Water Fun

End of term water fun.

Have a great summer ☀️☀️

Leavers 2023

Nursery leavers/ End of term party.

Every child is an artist (Pablo Picasso)

Following on from the visit from the Norfolk Fire Service.

The children painted some amazing fire engines.

The Nursery ‘Tug of war’ Team

One of the children asked if he could do ‘tug of war’ like his daddy.

The practitioner said, that sounded interesting and asked if he could tell us what it was.

The child explained ‘ There is a rope and lots of people pull.

The practitioner asked if he could show us out on the field.  He gave instructions to the children on what they needed to do and with support from the adults, they formed two teams and managed to have a small competition.

What a team, they were all very competitive and worked together.

Nature Colour Walk

🪵🌳🌼🌹🍁

The children have been exploring and collecting all the different colours nature has to offer.

Using double sided tape on card, the children were set the challenge of collecting the right colour flora named by the adult, for example’I wonder if you can find something yellow’.

They were all amazing and took their time to find what they needed.

Norfolk Fire Service Visit

Monday we had a visit from the fire service.

They chatted to the children about staying safe if there was a fire in their house.

The children then explored the fire engine, tried on the uniform and pretended to put out a fire with the hose. The visit was completed with the sirens and lights.

A great morning had by all.
