BELIEVE, ACHIEVE, BELONG

Remembrance Day 11 Nov

The school will take part in the Act of Remembrance on Monday at Stibbard Parish War Memorial. Whatever the weather. If you would like to join us, please meet us there at 10.50.

Some of the children have asked if they can wear medals belonging to a family member who has served in the Armed Forces. If you are happy for your child to wear them, please help them to do so. They should be worn on the right.

Message from Green Team

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are going to send home a ‘Recycle with Michael’ bag. If you, a friend or family member are having a clear out of old clothes, please fill the bag and return it to school.

It will help us raise some money for our school and stop items going into landfill.

Please return unused bags to school.

Thank you.

The Green Team

Aldi vouchers

Please keep bringing in your Kit For Schools vouchers. As you can see from the photo below we’ve nearly completed one rather large poster and Year 6 have incorporated this into their fractions lesson today.

Please support our clothing bank

If you have any unwanted clothes, please consider recycling them via our clothing bank. We can provide bags, so if you need some, please send a message in via the school office and we’ll arrange for some to be provided.

Thank you.

The Green Team.

ALDI Kit for schools

We’re collecting Team GB stickers with Aldo’s kit for schools. If you, your relatives, friends shop at this particular store then please collect the stickers and send them to school or drop them in the box in the foyer.

Thank you.

Olivia!

What a show the children put on both Tuesday and Wednesday evening! The children really raised the roof with their spectacular performance .
The play was based on the classic tale Oliver but with a modern day plot given the Stibbard touch!
We were treated to some fantastic songs sung with real gusto and some very brave solos which mesmerised the audience.
It was heartwarming to see all of the children put their all into the show. There were some brilliantly timed one liners and gags which really got the audience laughing out loud. The children were a credit to the school and to the Y5 and Y6 teachers and staff who have worked tirelessly to produce such a spectacular show. Hopefully some children may even be inspired to pursue a career in the arts.
All of the children should be tremendously proud of themselves; from the superb actors and actresses who acted their socks off, to the expert stage hands who ensured each scene was smoothly dealt with and of course the amazing musical/IT directors to really did make sure the show went on!
You were all amazing and ensured Olivia was a huge triumph!
Now the fat lady really has left the building!

Malham 19 Day 2

What a brilliant day! We split into 3 groups: Group 1 have been climbing and abseiling, Group 2 have been up to Malham Tarn, pond dipping, Feb building and walking, and Group 3 have been caving. We might have got a bit soggy but it didn’t dampen our spirits. Follow the link to view the album from the day.
