School Bus Pass Information

Important note for students who have current bus passes issued September 2016;

Students currently travelling to school by bus (vehicles larger than 16 seats), will not receive a new pass during the Summer Holidays. Your current pass will be valid until the end of your schooling (for pupils aged 5-16) at your current school.

However, in some circumstances, where a school’s transport has been reviewed, students may be transferred onto a different route with a new bus number. Any students that this affects, will receive a new bus pass during the Summer holidays for their new route, please keep hold of your current pass until you receive your new one.

You must keep your pass, please do not destroy or lose the pass, as you will be required to pay £10 charge for a replacement if you do so.

Please check school bus travel times for September here.

Year 3 will be swimming tomorrow (Tuesday 21st February).We have asked each child to bring labelled swimming trunks or costume in dark colours (preferably navy or black), a swimming hat, a towel and goggles if possible. A brush or comb would also be useful too, especially if your child has long hair.

We have also sent parent consultation letters home to be returned as soon as possible, please. If the times are not convenient then by all means get in touch with Mrs Niven or me and we will do our best to find a time that suits you better.

Operation Encompass – Information for Families

Dear Parents/ Carers

I am writing to inform you that the school will be taking part in a jointly run operation between Norfolk County Council, Norfolk Police and our school, it is called Operation Encompass. Encompass has been set-up to help schools to provide support to children who have been present at incidents of domestic violence. We know that children can be significantly physically or emotionally harmed when they are involved in, present or witness to domestic violence.

The school will receive a confidential phone call from the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub before 9am on the morning after any domestic incident where a child at their school has been involved in, present or witness to domestic violence.

The school have designated  Kathryn Batcock,  Sue Tobin & Craig Isherwood as Key Adults. They have received training from Norfolk County Council to allow them to use the information that has been shared, in confidence to make sure that the right support is available for children and their families, who have been involved in or witnessed a domestic violence incident.

We are keen to offer the best support possible to our pupils and we believe this is going to be extremely beneficial for all those involved.

If you have any concerns or questions then please contact one of the above Key Adults or myself and we will be happy to discuss this further. Further information about the project can be found on our school’s website and is available from the school office on request

Yours sincerely,

Kathryn Batcock
