Year 2 Remote Learning

In the event of another lockdown and children need to stay at home, below is an outline of 2 weeks planning for Year 2 students to complete remotely. I will be uploading videos and activities to seesaw and introduce and support these activities. Please ensure that photos of the work are uploaded to seesaw so that I can provide feedback to the children. If you have a problem accessing seesaw, please let me know as soon as possible. Please o not use this pack if your child is in isolation and their class bubble is still attending school, work will be posted for them on seesaw relevant to what we are doing at the point in time that your child is off.

It will be expected that children complete Maths and English lessons daily plus a foundation subject. The foundation subject lessons can be done on any day. English/Reading can be found at the front of the book, maths in the middle and foundation subjects at the end.

Year 1 Remote Learning

On Tuesday 20th October we sent home a ‘home learning book and pack’. This is NOT to be completed over the half term. This pack is here if we need to go into a whole class lockdown.

In the event of a class isolation we will use these packs alongside a daily Seesaw where I will provide daily Phonics, English and Maths challenges that are linked to the learning that would have taken place in school.

Please find the linked home learning pack attached below.

Home learning packs in Reception

I have provided you with two home learning packs. There is one in a clear pack, this is your everyday learning pack. It contains name writing activities, letter formation, number formation, there is a FOB of our learnt sounds/common words/tricky words and a copy of our patter to help the children learn to write their sounds. This pack you can use all the time (please keep the FOB safe it’s hrs of work to replace and I will add to it as the year goes on), the more your child uses the pack the quicker they will pick things up. Get your children to say the sounds to you as you look at them, if they’re unsure of a set don’t move on until they know them. Practice blending the common words and recognising the tricky words. Here’s a link to a video on how the sounds should be said: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6OiU2h3sUI&safe=active

In the event of another lockdown and children need to stay at home, there is also a red pack. This pack is ONLY to be used if your child is locked down. In it are resources linked to maths, literacy (the story of the Little Red Hen), some learning about Autumn and some activities based on bonfire night. These can also be found in this Google folder.
